My Project
Each year our fifth graders learn about the food web. They learn how everything that is living is alive because of the sun. The sun and air are the reason that grass and plants grow, the herbivores eat the plants, the omnivores eat the plants and the herbivores, the carnivores eat the omnivores, and decomposers break everything down so that cycle can start all over again. When we can see firsthand how this cycle works, students gain an understanding of the entire web of life. Plus they will learn about safety producers when dealing with specimens.
More than half of students from low‑income households
