My Project
This will be the culminating activity of our unit on food chains and food webs. My students are always curious to see just what other animals eat. When we discuss the barn owl, they wonder how owls can eat these different animals.
This dissection will allow my students to see the bones of animals that the barn owls ate.
There's not much out there that is a more real-world experience than digging through owl vomit to find bones of digested animals. My students need these kinds of activities to help them stay engaged and to see that the world is full of things we do not know.
