This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach first grade all subjects. My students speak two languages, Spanish and English. Sometimes they do not feel confident to speak in English. I want my room to feel safe and at home for my students and I believe that starts with the environment they walk into.

I chose the rugs for our library.

The lights for comfort in our library as well. I wanted to get a welcome sign in English and in Spanish so that everyone feels welcome. I chose the lamp for our library as well.
