Help me give my students private spaces to focus on their work and reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of my 21 students live in low-income housing or in multi-generation homes. They are so happy to be in school and no longer learning from home.
My students are in-class this year, wearing masks, learning social-distanced from each other and they are rocking it!
We have a class set of Kindle tablets that help us learn at our desks and help me get up close and personal through the use of QR Codes and recorded videos. Those QR Codes are a favorite activity, along with our infrequent Lego reward time with my 21 individual Lego kits. My classroom capacity is 21 students and my population grows as more and more students return to in-person learning from distance learning.
My Project
In my classroom of 20 first graders, at least a quarter of them are experiencing in-person learning for the first time. We're focusing on making friends, being responsible for ourselves and our learning.
Some students need a safe space to regroup and they all need a way to block out the behavior and actions of their neighbors.
I have set up a library area for students to retreat to when they need a moment to regroup, but a child-sized book display would make it more inviting and encourage reading while the are spending time calming down.
Working at our desks a lot of time time, it would be nice to have privacy screens so students can focus on their own work instead of their classmates. I intend to add clear plastic envelopes to the inside of the shields to display the alphabet, numbers, phonics skills and study materials.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
