This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning through play is fundamental for all students. The students in my classroom have never known a year without challenges. They are having a hard time learning academically, but also socially. The students haven't learned how to share, be kind, or persevere. When teaching my first graders this year and every year forward, I want to make sure I am working to improve the whole child, including socially, emotionally, and intellectually. The materials included here will help the students learn while also impacting their social-emotional needs. I believe these materials will help fill the educational gaps that we are seeing in the classroom as well.
