Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For so many students in 4th grade, the way they print their letters is already established and increasingly difficult to change. This is especially true for those that missed their formative handwriting-learning/practice years due to the pandemic. My current cohort falls into this category where they missed part of kindergarten and all of 1st grade due to Covid.
To overcome learned habits, my plan is to continue building on cursive handwriting skills that were introduced in 3rd grade as a way of bringing writing in a way that makes them focus, once more, on how to make a letter.
Now that they're older and have greater dexterity, they may just get it more cleanly this time.
