My Students
We are a 4th grade class at an arts-based school. We are a mix of hard-working students from Hartford and neighboring towns. This is my first year teaching fourth grade, and I want to make sure we have the most successful year possible!!
These students are going to change the future of our world.
They deserve to have access to all the materials they need to make their 4th grade year an AMAZING success! Because I have always taught older grades, we need a few things to make this year GREAT!
My Project
Fourth graders have a lot of STUFF that they use in a day to learn reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and our character curriculum.
Our classroom is overflowing with books, papers, and notebooks, all filled with amazing work and outstanding ideas!
We need to be able to organize the many materials that we use on a daily basis. Color coded book bins will help use organize our classroom just like a real library, by genre, then be level. Students will easily be able to find a book that captures their interest and meets their needs as a reader. We need some bins for chapter books, and some that fit picture books.
We also need a way to organize all the papers that are constantly being passed out, turned in, graded, and passed out again. Color coded paper baskets will allow students to turn in assignments by subject without getting confused. A wall chart with space for a file folder for each student will help us get all important notices and graded work home to students while protecting their privacy.
