Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Title I school. My students are from low-income families and receive free or reduced cost breakfast and lunch throughout the year. Many of my students come from a Spanish speaking background.
My students are diverse, eager learners who are seeking to understand their curriculum through multiple approaches such as texts, technology, and more.
Their learning should be organic and also embedded in real life experiences. The tools we have chosen together will help this to become a reality.
My Project
Organization is one of the top reasons students become successful. As adults we know that our day will go smoothly when we have all of our ducks in a row. When we come to work we are able to work successful when our work materials are in order and easily accessible. The colored bins with tops are going to be for our math and literacy centers. The students will be able to look at the colors and be able to start their work. The handles will make it easier to carry throughout the classroom so they can choose where they would like to complete their task comfortably. The file bins can be used for different leveled books so choosing a book will be quick and enjoyable. I truly believe organization is the key to success!
