Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I expect a lot out of my students, and I want to give them the tools to bring those goals to fruition. My freshmen pre-AP will be writing essays to prep for the state exam. My juniors in Dual Credit will be working on college level assignments. I don't want them limited to pen and paper. They need their word processors to revise more easily.
Your donation can make sure that a dead laptop doesn't stop their learning.
We do a lot of writing all period, and they need to focus on their writing rather than fumbling with power cords. The school provided two short cords for my classes of 35 students, but it just isn't enough.
Our students are reminded to charge their laptops, but often that's just not feasible. Our students have difficulties and challenges at home, and in our competitive high school, students pile so many responsibilities on themselves that a dying battery is just part of class. Your donation will help my students use their technology to their full potential.
