This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our preschoolers love spending time exploring and creating in our school's Forest. They hunt for roly-polies, build obstacle courses, and race each other from tree to tree.

The forest is a special place for not only my class but our whole school.

Just a few intentionally curated materials will make this space much richer for all students' learning.

My Project

Both my class of preschoolers and older students in the school's after-school program have had one-of-a-kind learning experiences through water play this year. However, we have been using an old plastic water table patched with duct tape. It is small, and difficult to clean.

Please support collaborative outdoor learning by funding a new water play system for our school.

Nature play and sensory activities are essential components of high-quality early childhood education, and they have enormous benefits for older children as well. A durable water play system will support not only countless hours of play but also hands-on STEAM learning across grade levels.
