This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are requesting sports equipment that we can use during recess. 100 students are currently sharing a three soccer balls. The students desperately want to play soccer, football, volleyball, dodgeball, and basketball with their friends. A lot of the students have wanted to work on cardio and have asked for jump ropes. With our current lack of recess equipment, students resort to standing near fences and talking.

The extra movement that this equipment will encourage can help our students improve their mental health and regain focus for rigorous academic tasks.
