Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are funny, shy, garden geeks who love being outside under our shade trees. We gather primarily for science lessons. However we hope to expand more into therapeutic garden activities and wellness topics through ELA and Nature-based crafting.

We have four huge steel panels in our outdoor classroom that are a perfect palette for students to enjoy playing with rhyming or word games, lyrics, bilingual vocabulary and crafting poems and stories together Big & Colorful.

The variety of fonts, letters and words will intrigue them to make unique combination. They might invent words or a new language. The Spanish and ASL magnet packets are invaluable for our community and will make everyone feel welcome.

The sidewalk chalks and pastels will allow us to inspire pedestrians with motivational phrases and invite everyone in our neighborhood to participate.
