Outdoor Learning Space Furniture

My Project

This project will give our students furniture for a community outdoor learning space. Included in this project are sturdy benches, waterproof cushions, and a storage bin for the items. Outdoor classrooms offer numerous benefits for students.

Outdoor learning improves student focus, memory, attention, and concentration.

Nature lends itself to the development of white and gray matter in the brain, increasing cognitive function. In addition, when children spend more time in nature, it boosts physical activity and improves their health resiliency. Spending more time in nature also encourages students to pursue more moderate-vigorous activity schedules outside of school. With constant exposure to sunlight, students learning outside receive more Vitamin D. Surrounded by plants and trees, students breathe healthier air and have reductions in respiratory diseases like asthma. Please help us create a community learning space that teachers from multiple grades can use at our school with their students.
