Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our K-5 students are enthusiastic learners who enjoy being part of a a small and caring school community in Brooklyn. Our curious students at the NYC Title I school thrive with engaging and hands-on lessons that allow them to discover new ways to learn and create memorable experiences.
My Project
Our students love to take learning outside and want to make use of our large outdoor school yard as an extension to the classroom as often as possible!
However, we currently lack seating options which allows students to write, draw and read comfortably while learning outside.
These desks are a perfect 'grab and go' solution as a versatile seating and grouping option to use inside and outside the classroom. Especially for my younger students I am always looking for flexible seating options that helps with proper posture when sitting and the surf desks are an ideal find.
