Outdoor Learning for Little Scholars

Help me give my students outdoor learning experiences with bubbles and water play.

My Project

Our school is located in an urban area and many of our students do not have opportunities for outdoor play, learning, and exploring. Fortunately, our students get the opportunity to explore, learn, and play outside on our school playground every day. I want to give my students a variety of different activities for outdoor exploration and creativity.

Your donation to this project will provide students with outdoor fine and gross motor experiences, outdoor STEM interactions, and sensory play with natural resources.

The giant bubble wands will open up opportunities for outdoor STEM activities. Our youngest learners will have the opportunity to be mathematicians and scientists. Students will help measure out the correct proportions of solution and water to make the perfect consistency for bubbles. Students will get to create a variety of different sized and shaped bubbles. The bubble wands offer exciting inquiry into the idea that bubbles do not always need to be spheres. We will be starting an outdoor unit about Spring, including gardening, water play, and bugs. The translucent bugs and letters will provide fun experiences in our garden and outdoor water sensory table.
