it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is engaging, filled with respect and fueled for learning. Every student wants to be there day in and day out as we work as a team to accomplish our goal of being 21st century scholars, preparing to change the future.
Our student hunger for new experiences and opportunities to challenge themselves.
These are not your typical group of sixth graders. They are resilient and, above all, curious. Curious to know what their future holds. Grizzly Creek Ranch is an opportunity for our students to see how their education can be applied in the real world.
My Project
This trip will be most students' first experience outside of Reno’s city limits. Our three-day, two-night stay will consist of hands-on learning featuring engineering projects, leadership training, astrological exploration, and experiences in the great outdoors. Our experience at Grizzly Creek Ranch can solidify our students' passion for STEM and guide their future endeavors.
For many of our students, this trip will be their first experience out of their neighborhood.
Grizzly Creek Ranch will give them the a firm foundation of discovery and independence from their immediate surrounds and a taste of what life could be like when they use their education to write their own stories.
