My Project

Most students spend 90% of their day indoors working with digital devices, watching TV, and gaming, which can lead to reduced focus, a disconnect with others, and the outdoor environment.

The goal is to impact our students’ knowledge of gardening practices to ignite their passion for environmental sustainability and conservation.

The outdoor classroom with vegetable planters, gardening supplies, umbrella tables, birding and weather stations will offer gardening experiences to students without green spaces. MES students are the future caretakers of planet Earth. The love and respect for nature can easily begin in the garden.
