Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students have been working on our school garden to learn about how to grow and maintain a garden. We are just starting to delve into research on how to maintain the fruit trees and grow healthy vegetables.

Our current picnic benches have fallen apart and I would like to be able to conduct class in the garden with the students, so I have written a proposal to get new seating.

This seating also has storage and will be PERFECT to put all their items inside after learning. In addition, we will discuss what we see and do without having to run back and forth from the classroom to the garden. We are currently working on giving the entire garden a facelift and are very excited about what the students will be doing.
