This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I coach 600 kids daily for physical education. In our school, we serve Pre-K through fifth-grade students in a low socioeconomic area. Our school is a Title I school, and our entire school population is eligible to participate in the free lunch and breakfast program.
My students are full of life and have a lot of energy.
They love to be outside and are eager to learn new sports. Currently, we are learning to play a variety of sports, and my students are learning that there is a sport for everyone to promote an active healthy lifestyle. My students have a strong desire to learn to play all these different sports, but they lack the equipment and knowledge to do so.
My Project
I am requesting set of really cool and colorful disco ball lights and a brand new portable movie projector to use during our PE classes. This new, wonderful technology will bring an new element of excitement into our gym.
This technology can be used during our dances and Cosmic Bowling.
It will be also be used during the annual Reindeer Games that our whole school, grades PreK through 5th grade, participates in. These materials will increases student participation and get the kids excited about staying healthy. Thank you for reading our project.
