This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We need voice amplifiers for the upcoming drama department play. This play involves grades 3-5 at our school in Metairie, LA
These voice amplifiers are crucial for this project, as our young thespians, many of whom are English language learners, need to be heard in the cavernous and echo-y space we have been given for our school production.
We have asked for 16 amplifiers, and they would be greatly appreciated!
This is a unique opportunity for our language-diverse student body to use English skills in a public setting. The school's minority student enrollment is 84% and includes 36% economically disadvantaged students. This show will unite and inspire the whole school to become more involved with the theatre program after a long season of testing! This may be the only chance for students in this diverse and low-income public school to build confidence and engagement in school by performing. Please help!
