Our Students Need Manipulatives to Stimulate Their Learning

My Project

I am a special education teacher in District 75 for grades 6-8.

My students ages are 12 - 16 years old.

However, their cognitive levels are comparable to Kindergarten level. I would love for my students to explore the different animal habitat in their Science Project using proper tools and materials for their hands on learning.

My students are visual and tactile learners and would love explore the project using fun illustrations and real life objects.

Using manipulatives like the animals activity tub and multicultural paly food will change their way of thinking from a simple procedural understanding to a more conceptual understanding.
