My Project
In celebration of Earth Day, we planted flower and fruit trees on our school campus. Unfortunately, a pervasive issue we face is erosion and nine months of hot, arid conditions. The requested erosion mats and watering bags will help maintain our recently planted trees.
The intent of the project is to increase the availability of fresh fruit and lei materials for our school and Hawaiian homestead community.
In synergy with native dry land reforestation practices, we hope to expand our edible, cultural landscape to other parts of the campus.
