Our School Family and Community Festivals

Help me give my students supplies needed for our school family and community Fall and Winter Festivals, including yarn and bean bag toss games.

My Project

Southwest Early Childhood Center proudly services our district's early learners! Our building houses Early Childhood Special Education, Pre-Kindergarten for our district's most vulnerable students, Parents As Teachers, and STEP2 classrooms for district staff three and four-year-olds.

Research supports students whose parents stay involved in school have better attendance and behavior, earn stronger grades, demonstrate healthier social skills and adapt well to school.

An important component of our building is developing a school family atmosphere including hosting and welcoming parent and family friendly involvement events.

In October a Trunk or Treat Festival will be hosted. Our students and their families will be able to safely trick or treat, decorate mini pumpkins, play various toss-and-roll games, and visit with their teachers, fellow classmates, and their families.

In December a Winter Festival will be hosted. Snowball toss games, make an ornament, explore and find hidden objects in the winter sensory bins, etc. will be incluced. The requested materials will directly support the planned activities of these two important school, family, and community events.
