This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Working in South San Francisco is such a treat. Our school is a very diverse melting pot. We have students from all ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic backgrounds, and living situations.

I teach an amazing group of 6th-8th grade mild to moderate special needs students.

They are creative, kind, energetic, and always ready to learn. Every student is special, and mine are no exception. My students work so hard to turn their “disabilities” into their abilities. Teaching them is an absolute pleasure.

My Project

Our class is desperately in need of a place to store our Chromebooks. The Chromebooks are used for all subjects and are in danger of being broken. With a proper shelf we can ensure the safety of our Chromebooks for years to come.

The electric pencil sharpener is something that will help all of my students.

The one that we currently have chews up all of our pencils. It would be such an amazing help if we could get a sharpener that works.
