Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is special in every way.They are continuously having to play catch up with their peers, sometimes socially but mainly academically . Our goal is to build that bridge any which way we can.
My children are amazing.
They come ready to learn. Our school is located in the heart of Little Havana, Also know as Miami, Fl. Our class is made up of K-5, with multiple grades and instructional abilities groups coming and going at different times. My children's exceptionalities range from learning disabilities, to hard of hearing, intellectually disabled to autism. The majority are Hispanic and are in free and reduced lunch.
My Project
Our class is a resource class and i need to ensure that I have as many resources as possible to make my children's learning process a little smoother. Basically, we need to make many of our own material. By being able to preserve them through laminating and labeling them, we can use them a little longer.
Another biggie in our class is technology. When in doubt...Google it! Funny but that is exactly what my kids say. Well, it very hard to do with only 3 computers, the tablets will allow my children to access the information they need or even better, they can access the knowledge that they desperately seek.
By funding this project you are giving my children the materials and tools to make their learning a little easier.
These material will help me make and preserve material that will enhance the learning process.
