Help me give my students an inclusive reading center that has books, funiture, and headphones during this time of Covid. This will make it possible for them to still experience reading groups and not have to share materials.
My students are from a title-one school area where the population does not have a high income base for families. Many of my students family do not have the technology or internet in their homes for my students to do their work.
To describe my students I would say that they are "A Rainbow of Possibilities." their learning needs are all so different, but they all have strengths that make our classroom family amazing.
My Project
Thank you for the opportunity to give my students a place to relax, read, and self reflect. This area is going to make it safe for my students, because of the smooth surfaces. Giving them books that have faces that are like theirs, and will help make them feel like they belong to our class family.
My students are a "Rainbow of Possibilities," and just need an area to feel safe enough to show their strengths.
During this time of Covid-19, my students have experienced remote learning, hybrid learning, learning with social distancing, and learning with masks. Through all of this they have been resilient, and have risen above the challenge.
