This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a lively and inquisitive bunch that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with in and out of the classroom. I have a wide variety of learning styles and levels. Every student in my classroom is unique and everyone in the room respects each other. Throughout the day, I see random acts of kindness in our class which makes me so happy! I care about my students and they know it!
My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.
I especially love that they try their BEST on everything that comes their way! They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day I make sure and instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens.
My Project
My request is for materials we need to use with our new Cricut machine that we received thanks to amazing donors! They will help us create crafty STEAM projects that really stand out. The machine can cut out almost any shape you can think of. It will motivate my students to enjoy learning as they become innovators, critical thinkers, and problem solvers.
The materials of vinyl sheets, along with our Cricut machine, will be used to liven up classroom projects, bulletin boards, anchor charts, and even create class t-shirts.
I want my students to think of positive sayings to make for our classroom and remind them that anything is possible as long as they stay focused on their goal. The possibilities are endless!
My students will be able to use technology to create visually appealing artwork. They will also have access to materials they do not have access to already. They will be LEADERS in their own learning process. You will help me to provide hands-on learning!
