I teach in an urban school which sets a goal for each student to go to college. Our students are grades K-12 and truly have a passion for learning. We involve ourselves and classes in projects which allow them to give back to the community, even though so many of them are in need themselves.
My students are a wonderful group of bubbly, creative 4th graders and I want to help create the most wonderful and positive memories with them.
They deserve the world and my goal for the year is to make each day better than the one before. This project will help me create a warm, comforting environment where they can continue growing into their best versions.
My Project
I am so grateful to have a classroom full of readers. Although they like to pretend they don't enjoy it, I can always catch a lot of them reading on their downtime. While DogMan and Diary of the Wimpy Kid are class favorites, I'm hoping to expand their horizons with some new titles.
There are some great options on this project that I think will broaden horizons for all of my students!
This order includes classic favorites that will challenge our students as well as favorites from their childhood that they can read to younger students as part of a buddy reading system.
