My Students
Our school is an academically screened school in a high needs area in Brooklyn. Our school is one of the most diverse schools in NYC, serving students from all races, nationalities, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our students are high achieving and would really benefit from the best equipment that we can possibly provide them.
Incoming students have exceptional grades in middle school, and upon graduation from our school, we have a 100% college acceptance rate.
Our students have a lot of pride in our school community.
My Project
Our students have been working extremely hard and making some significant improvements. Since they have been growing mentally and physically, they have expressed the need to be challenged with heavier weights.
Giving our student the means and the opportunities to reach new levels with their personal fitness is something that is extremely exciting for everyone.
Having heavier dumbbells will give our most advanced students the opportunity to continue to improve. When a student expresses interest in something that can shape the rest of their life in a positive way, and make sure they get at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day, it is the role of the educator to provide all possible support to make that happen.
