This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like a rug for my elementary students who are a diverse group of kids. These kids come from underprivileged backgrounds and deserve the world. I am trying to give them endless opportunities and enrich their education through class discussion, incorporating art history and art critique, and even having educational play time.
My art students should be able to learn about artists who look like them and form relationships with their classmates and myself through engaging in class discussion.
The rug will help our classroom feel more comfortable and give us the space to hold our discussions and learning.
