Our Little Town--Part II

My students need two printers for our project.

This project is fully funded

Our high school, the only one in the county, is situated in a small, rural West Virginia town. I teach photography to 10-12 grade students. Photography gives them a way to express themselves, especially those who have trouble in the regular academic classes.

West Virginia often gets a "bum rap" when it comes to publicity. Often the media portrays us as ignorant hillbillies. Our students take pride in their community and want a way to give back to the ones they love. My students would like to document our town and its history, and display those photos in local businesses.

Most of my students have digital cameras, but we need printers and ink to help our photos leave the cameras and come to life. I know my students will take great pride in having a photo show, and seeing how people in the community will appreciate their work.

Your generous donation will help my students be able to bring our photos out of cyberspace and into the real world--in a community photo show. Thank you for helping us show our pride in our little town.
