This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"I believe children are the future. Teach them well and let them lead the way." These are not only words from a popular song but a strong belief that I hold as a teacher.
Equity for all!
My students are full of potential. They are bright shining beacons of light. I am asking for assistance so that they can glow like the stars that they are.
Fortunately, for the students in my class, envisioning the future is something we think of and talk about often. Because their daily existence is so challenging, I have them focus on their bright and delightful futures!
I teach in a low socio-economic area at a Title I school where 99% of the population receives free breakfast and lunch at school. On most days the heartiest and healthiest meals that the students receive are what they eat at school. It isn't unusual for the students in my class to stockpile food in their book bags to take home in order to have something to eat later that day.
Despite the harsh circumstances and backdrops of their lives, the students come to school daily with smiles on their faces.
My Project
My school is moving to a hybrid model in September. Students will spend some days remote learning and some days inside of our classroom. Germs are everywhere, and the classroom is no different. In fact, due to this being such a high traffic area, it’s likely that there are more germs here than many other places. That’s why it’s so important for the safety of both pupils and teachers to keep hygiene levels up in schools.
I need to ensure that my little ones are coming to a safe space free of germs on a daily basis!
The best way to disinfect classroom desks and other classroom surfaces is by using a good disinfectant spray or disinfectant wipes.
Keeping our classroom clean is imperative not only to keep it safe and hygienic but to ensure it’s a pleasant environment for students to be productive in. With the right sanitizing products and a bit of common sense, we can help to prevent illness.
