This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My diverse learners and English language learners are eager to learn to read. They have been learning letter sounds and sight-words and desire to put their new knowledge and skills to use. They are excited to begin to read on their own!
These easy-to-follow books are filled with predictable sentence patterns that reinforce common sight-words…with helpful illustrations that closely support the text.
Best of all, each book is entirely made up of just sight-words and simple rebus pictures, giving kids all the focused reinforcement they need to master high-frequency words.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
