Our Guinea Pigs Calm the Classroom

Help me give my students a cage, food and supplies to help keep our classroom guinea pig healthy and happy.

My Project

In March of 2020, my students lives were turned upside down. What was thought to be a three week pause turned into almost a year and a half at home due to the Covid 19 pandemic. We spent over a year teaching and learning virtually, and then slowly moved back to the classrooms. Before the pandemic, I had multiple classroom pets. My students loved watching them, learning about their care, and even playing with a cute and cuddly fur baby we had hopping around. Now that we are back to more of a normal school year, I have brought in two guinea pigs that the students absolutely love.

Our guinea pigs bring joy to our classroom for students who are trying to catch up socially, emotionally, and educationally to where they would be without having experienced a global pandemic.

This project will help feed, house, and care for our newest pets with a habitat, food, bedding, and toys.
