This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My High School is located in the heart of Reno, Nevada and is a Newcomer Center. We have over 1500 students with new students enrolling daily. Our students are Latinx, LGBTQ+, refugee, asylees, English learners, immigrants, migratory, unaccompanied, and students with limited or interrupted education.

When our girls play basketball, they stay involved in their education.

Your help will put basketballs in girls' hands; and when girls collaborate together, they grow emotionally, mentally, and physically. New basketballs, a mesh transport bag and storage will help innumerably in supporting them, as they learn the sport by working together as a team.
