My students need a Microsoft Surface tablet, a probability kit, educational checkbooks, Tornados in a Bottle and other supplies that will allow them to interact, analyze, and use critical thinking through STEM.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. B.'s classroom raised $861

My Students
My students have not had the opportunity to be exposed to STEM activities. I believe that every child should be involved in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math so that they can one day provide these skills in their business ventures. My plan is to open them to a whole new world!
My students come from an area where technology is scarce.
In this low income area, my students are not fortunate to be provided with technology and even tools as simple as a pencil in their normal classroom routine.
When observing my students, I have realized that majority of my students do their best learning when provided hands on activities. Being that many of my students have discipline issues, I can provide my students with the incentive of a math corner to not only encourage them in mathematics but also have them something to strive for. Though I have full support to the best of their ability by administration, outside help is needed to provide my students with the resources that will benefit them.
My Project
With these materials students will be using them to complete STEM exercise, study groups, and math time enrichment. In this corner, students will have the option to build and design STEM projects, or use it to provide practice when they are done with the given instruction. By having this Math Corner, It will allow me to use it as a way of positive interaction because by giving them the choice it could be useful in keeping behavior positive.
By donating to this project you will assist me in providing a STEM based classroom to my students.
Many of my students will be in career fields that will promote the use of building, designing, and critical thinking. By having these materials, it will allow me to build those skills they need in their future careers. It will change their lives because they will be able to understand the use of mathematics in many different forms and use their tactile learning to do so.
