My students need 25 AP U.S. Government & Politics resources that will help prepare them for their second AP course. These resources will help them in the college readiness program.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
After having a wildly successful year in their first AP course as Juniors, 25 of my students are ready to embark on another AP journey during their senior year. In order to be ready for college these students need academic support. These resources are a part of that need.
My students are a mix of academic levels and have had very little rigorous college level work prior to this year.
They all are financially challenged and as such their families cannot afford supplementary materials or tutoring. These resources will be of great value to my students as they prepare for their second "AP adventure." This adventure requires strenuous academic work. The only way to grow is through reading challenging material.
My Project
The resources will become part of our daily classroom routine as we delve into issues surrounding the politics of the United States. Each student will have their own copy to use in the classroom and will be able to take the resources home on the weekends and holidays.
These resources will be the difference between my students doing well on the AP exam and doing fantastic.
Even though they come from lower economic households it is my goal to provide them with the education and tools of any middle class suburban school. These resources will help to level the playing field.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
