Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year, we are starting our school's first FTC club and my students are really excited. We've gotten some funding together to get our robot, but we need more equipment to make for a successful program!
Our kids are amazing, creative and motivated young people who are really excited about First Technical Challenge and robotics!
They get so few chances to build and create, but with the right tools, they can work, collaborate and store their equipment. When things are organized, people can work better together and spend more time building and problem-solving and less time just trying to find things.
My Project
Our students don't have much opportunity to work with tools and they are just learning. A lot of young people working in a space must be organized or they will spend all of their time looking for tools and valuable pieces of equipment. It's hard enough for us to get the tools that students need to build with, but keeping them in useful places that kids can easily find is another challenge altogether.
When kids have the right tools to work with and they are organized, kids can go from having ideas to working and creating quickly.
With these quality tools and organizers, students will be able to get to work and keep building for years to come.
