My Students

My fifth grade students are terrific boys and girls. They are eager to learn new things every day. They are respectful and polite and truly enjoy reading.

My fifth graders come from diverse backgrounds and share their cultures with each other.

During ELA time, my students like to read independently as well as in partnerships. They work together beautifully and help each other when necessary. As their teacher, I am proud to see how much they look forward to reading time every day!

My Project

My students need books to read for their book clubs. They will use them when we are in school and also at home with the remote students. They will work together to read and discuss the books with their partners. Receiving these books will help me to put actual books in the hands of all of my students, in school and at home. It has been difficult with some of the students having books and others reading eBooks at home. These books will help them to improve their reading skills.
