My Project
We have new English Language Learners in 4th and 5th grade that are new to the United States and have very limited English. We use the Draw and Write journals to help them build English Vocabulary by drawing the word and then writing a sentence with the words. Eventually, our students will use English vocabulary words to create their stories in the journals.
The Draw and Write journals will be great resources to help my EL students to have the opportunities to write and illustrate every day.
My English Learners can create their stories using the English vocabulary as they read, draw, and write their own stories in their draw and Write Journals.
