Our Dramatic Play Area Needs a Makeover!

My students need a dresser, dress-up clothes, and pretend food for our dramatic play area.

My Students

My preschoolers enter my classroom each morning eager to learn and full of imagination. My students thrive on activities that can utilize their imagination.

They enjoy building with blocks, interacting in the dramatic play area, and playing outside on our playground.

They love being able to be creative as they are learning. Our school is home to students that come to us from a wide range of socio-economic status. The majority of my students come from moderate to low-income households.

My Project

We need a dramatic play center to give our students a place to keep our dress-up clothes and hats organized. This will also help teach our little ones responsibility by being able to put things back neatly where they belong. We also need some new pretend food items and dress-up clothes to replace the items we currently have that are getting worn out. We would also like to be able to use these pretend food items to teach our little ones about healthy eating.

Through dramatic play students can learn about themselves and the world around them, as well as enhance social and emotional skills.

They love to play house and pretend that they are mommies and daddies taking care of their babies or cooking a meal. They love to pretend that they are doctors and helping the sick. The process of pretend builds skills in many essential development areas.
