As an art class, materials are always necessary. Students enjoy opportunities to develop their ideas in both traditional and nontraditional ways, as something they will remember forever.
Students are currently bringing an aesthetic into the school hallways to show off their creativity.
Items such as hot glue sticks are used for STEAM projects and displaying their work around the school. Ink is an essential item for printmaking and there are so many ways they can create in this area such as using chipboard to develop collagraphs. Imagine students seeing their work in print and possibly commercializing their work as young entrepreneurs.
The students are inspired by one another, looking to peers to help in their artistic development, which endears them to me as an educator. I would especially like to have enough resources so that students with disabilities in the classroom can fully participate and work on similar projects as their peers.
