My Project
This rug would help our classroom because I always try to make my classroom feel like a home away from home. I want my students to feel like we are a family and have lots fun together while they grow in their individual ways. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor with each other doing many different activities and engaging with one another. This rug would allow us to all be together, yet have individual spaces at the same time which will help with my goal of creating a family atmosphere in a safe and comfortable way for the entire class. This is my 20th year teaching and my kids are never the same, but always special. This year they are exceptionally fun and intelligent...each having very bold and unique personalities. They push me to get out of my comfort zone almost everyday which is what keeps me in education. I have learned to love singing, dancing, and being goofy with them all while we learn and grow together.
