This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom continually runs out of paper due to our socioeconomic standing in the city. Being able to print out images and laminate them would allow the classroom to keep materials rather than damaging them after one use. Velcro is used to stick the manipulatives to something such as daily schedules, matching file folders, and choice boards. The dramatic play toys would allow the students to engage in creative ways they may not be able to at home.
Special education students need to be able to move their materials, and laminating sheets and Velcro will allow them to do that without continually wasting paper.
Hands-on learning has been proven to be the best way for young learners to access information in a school setting.
