My students need a better variety of books for our class library.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Morfin's classroom raised $390
This project is fully funded
My Students
Each student keeps a book in their desk to read during independent reading and free time. Our class this year loves to read, and they are always at our classroom library searching for good books!
At this time we have 15 students in our class.
They are a kind group of children who enjoy working together each day. They are supportive of each other and work hard to make themselves better. They are hungry for knowledge and just love to watch a video that will teach them something new or have a teacher read a new book to them. When we read as a class each day, they never want us to stop. "Read the next chapter!" is always echoing out of our classroom!
My Project
Our students will be able to use these new books during independent reading and free time. This group of students thoroughly enjoys books and reading, however many of the books in our class library are outdated and are little to no interest to our students. Our students are looking for new, exciting and relatable books to read. With these new titles, the students will be even more motivated to read!
A fresh group of books will help to motivate our students to read more.
Unfortunately, students in our school often do not have access to books at home. Therefore, when students come to school it is important to have books available for them that they find interesting. The lack of interesting and appealing books impacts their desire to read as well. By having a new group of books, many of these students will be exposed to books that they may not have an opportunity to read anywhere else.
