My Project
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and face various challenges, but through the magic of books, they can embark on journeys of imagination, expand their knowledge, and discover new worlds. However, our classroom library is in dire need of revitalization. Many of our books are outdated, tattered, and no longer engaging for our young readers. With your support, we can transform our classroom library into a vibrant, inspiring space that ignites the love of reading in our students' hearts. This will help us accomplish our goal of creating a classroom of enthusiastic and independent readers.
Your generous contribution will enable us to create a comfortable, visually appealing, and cozy reading corner for our emerging readers.
I am requesting the Be You Books set, Ada Twist Scientist, Hair Love, M is for Melanin, and Parker Shines On to provide my students with rich titles that have young African American characters that resemble them. It is important for students to read stories with characters that they can relate to. I am also asking for the HP printer and HP 67 ink to create book labels and expectation posters for our class library because our school does not have color ink for us to print. My class is also in need of a printer and ink to create engaging visuals for my English language learner students. The cartridges of ink will provide me with the resources I need to make visuals for my kindergarteners all year long. Lastly, I am asking for chair covers, a bean bag cover, and memory foam to create comfortable sitting arrangements for my students to use as they enjoy our class library.
