My Project
In our art classroom we use many mediums, especially cardboard. I have a 'cardboard cart' in the classroom in which students are allowed to pick up scraps to incorporate into our fun projects.
This past year we have created 'cardboard animals' and emphasized how we can make a 'form' from 'shape' by gluing and constructing cardboard.
The ChompSaw would help me teach the students about math and engineering, eye/hand coordination, and also be an incentive for classroom management about who's turn it is to use the ChompSaw depending on who is upholding our respect for one another in the classroom.
Students use scissors daily cutting the cardboard, some small hands have a tougher time cutting the thicker cardboard.
I work in a Title One school with 450 students I love seeing every week. This ChompSaw would be an incredible addition and definitely used daily and loved.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
