Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are the best! They love to learn and continue to be curious about the world around them. During the pandemic, I have seen my students become anxious and stressed out at times. To help with their social-emotional needs, my students can go to our learning garden space whenever they need to de-stress and calm themselves down.
We need more soil!
Our learning garden is our calming space. We need more soil to continue to cultivate the plants and vegetables that we harvest during the year. This calming space is not only used by my class, it is used by the entire school community. Having more soil will help us keep our calming space alive and growing and allow students, staff and parents to have a place where they can breathe, relax and stay calm.
