My Project
I am ending this school year as I always do: contemplating how my practice can grow and how I can develop a space and environment more useful to my incoming students in the fall. Every child deserves a classroom where they can feel safe, silly, and be scholars. Please help me grow my classroom to create an environment that allows for that space.
I am asking for two low bookshelves that will be able to divide my classroom into cozy learning areas where kids can read, write, and explore.
Being able to create these nooks are important for students to focus and have a place to work with lower distractions. We all know that 25 kids in a room is full of distractions!
Students at my school come from all walks of life. We have over 40 languages spoken, a high emotional and financial need, and an ever changing population. My students need stability, safety, and a place to call their own.
