This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year Head coach at our high school. The equipment being requested will go a long way towards providing our student athletes safe training equipment to progress their skill sets. Much of our equipment is out dated or unsafe for use. In some cases, such as things that are listed like new baseballs, training aids, radar gun, and batting practice balls in this request we do not have at all. We are having to use damaged equipment and we can not effectively operate a practice. We are trying to re-build successful programs and we are having to start from the group up. Our school is very low income and the students and families do not have the means to assist in buying equipment. Our school does not help with the purchase of such equipment at this time so we are left to fundraise or find other means of which to acquire such items. Every little bit helps.
